  A well maintained grocery store whose shelves are generally well stocked. It was decently quiet inside and the there were enough registers open that the line wait was minimal.

  Had everything we needed for a 3 week stay on the island - doing mostly self catering. Nice to see so many great local options too. Shout out to Larry @ the fresh fish counter - helpful, knowledgeable and friendly....mahalo...

  Back on the main land, specifically New York, it is so hard to find a good grocery store. Being from California originally the grocery stores were spectacular as compared to NYC stores. However, I have to say my new favorite store that I cannot unfortunately shop at on a regular basis is Safeway in Kauai. The produce is amazing and isles are big and clean. The checkers are so friendly too which is super hard to find in NY. Thank you Safeway for making my least unfavorable activity a good experience.
